Reducing
The Fire Hazard in Aluminum-Wired Homes
Description of methods to reduce the
fire hazards of aluminum-wired homes. Extensive research, experience, and
expert resources are cited. This report is based on twenty years of
investigation and testing of aluminum wire branch circuit connections.
Included are investigations of in-home performance, burnouts, and fires,
laboratory testing, and extensive review of industry and public agency test
results and documents. The laboratory testing and investigations have been
performed primarily for the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC),
for litigants and insurance interests with respect to fires which may be
aluminum wire related, and for Canadian consumer groups, among others. |

Illusions
Set by Agents Who Work With Brokers That List Properties for Sale Most
home buyers cannot begin to conceive how the real estate industry
functions, putting buyers at a disadvantage. Even with new laws that
appear to give home buyers fair opportunities, agents with most
traditional brokers cannot and do not provide the protection buyers need
when the agent attempts to provide buyer agency service. |

Welcome
to New Jersey's Source for EIFS
Exterior
Insulating and Finish System
is a synthetic building cladding material introduced to New Jersey in
the early 1980s. It was designed to mimic the look of real stucco, yet
be easier and cheaper for homebuilders to install. Unfortunately, EIFS
has also brought with it a host of shortcomings, notably drainage and
moisture intrusion problems on wood-frame residential construction that
began to emerge in 1995. As these barrier systems began to fail, many families
discovered extensive rotting around windows, doors and other external
frame penetrations. Worse, others found substantial internal frame
rotting and damage to their homes. Still others reported pest
infestation and even extensive mold growth. That situation would be bad
enough if it were a surprise. But, it wasn't.

Biological Pollutants in Your Home
This guidance will help you understand:
- what indoor biological pollution is;
- whether your home or lifestyle promotes its development; and,
- how to control its growth and buildup.
