   This is a typical chimney going through an attic in an older home. Beside the repairs needed in the attic and the lack of a flue liner the next set of pictures show the same chimney in the basement. The only thing holding this chimney in place was a rusted metal plate and a lolly column. Don't be surprised later, have that home inspected.
